How to Build a Better Profile
Be Different: Millions of people use online dating sites these days. So single white female, 32 years old, isn’t going to cut it. Be honest about yourself, your likes, dislikes, etc. No sense in buttering up your online profile with “little white lies” and attracting the wrong people.
Use a photo: Online Dating Profiles with photos get viewed 8 times more than profiles without.
You can say what you want, but don’t be negative. Use “athletic man desired” instead of “no fatties”. You get the point!
Headers
Headers: The header of your online dating profile will mean the difference between a a look or a pass. It is important to use an interesting header to attract the right people. That is of course the first thing they see. Avoid the over-used ones, such as “Hi” or “Looking to meet new people”. Use your imagination.
Be Safe
One important message is safety. Don’t post personal details in your profile, OR give out personal info to someone you don’t know. You don’t want 3 million people knowing your looking for a date and you work at the post office and you want a wild lover do you? Just be careful what you post in your profile!
The Meeting
Like they always say – Meet in a public place. No matter how much chatting you’ve done, always meet in a busy place. And let someone know your whereabouts. Another good idea is have a friend call you an hour into the date. If the person is creepy, or you just want out, you can use your friend as an excuse to get outta there!
Happy Dating!!
